Description: The Anti-Corruption and Governance Center (ACGC) focuses on streamlining CIPE’s existing programming and exploring innovative approaches based on new partnerships, economic trends, and law enforcement priorities. ACGC is seeking a Spring Intern to support its anti-corruption programs through research, communications, and outreach. The Intern will work with the Center’s director and program officers to develop recommendations for current ACGC programs through comprehensive research and engagement with field experts. In addition, the Intern will write blogs to provide programmatic updates and highlight current events in the anti-corruption field. Reports To: Program Coordinator, Anti-Corruption and GovernanceTimeframe: This position is scheduled to start between January 9, 2023 and January 16, 2023 for a period of 12 weeks. Interns must be able to commit to a minimum of 25 hours per week.Learning Objectives: Intern will acquire knowledge in international relations and development in countries like, but are not limited to: Sudan, Armenia and Malaysia. Intern will develop analytical skills by reviewing anti-corruption program materials. Intern will improve research skills by conducting a variety of research tasks related to global anti-corruption trends. Key Areas of Responsibility: Conduct various research tasks for ACGC focusing on worldwide anti-corruption trends and best practices. Coordinate communications with key members and experts of anti-corruption organizations for research purposes. Attend and support internal and external virtual events relevant to the implementation and design of the Rapid Response, humanitarian aid and integrated compliance programs. Coordinate with CIPE regional teams about anti-corruption related work. “Shadow” (virtually or in-person) CIPE staff – sitting in on meetings or phone calls, as appropriate. Carrying out research to support the writing of proposals, concept notes, or budgets. Qualifications and Requirements: Undergraduate juniors or seniors, or graduate students are encouraged to apply. Strong research, analytical, and writing skills. Ability to consolidate and synthesize large amounts of information and present in an organized and concise way. Basic understanding of corporate anti-corruption compliance requirements and international standards. Demonstrate professionalism and responsibility. Strong writing, grammar, and proofreading skills. Comfortable engaging various organizations and high-level organizational officials. Strong attention to detail All CIPE Spring 2023 internships will be remote. All CIPE Spring 2023 internships will be remote, though interns may come into the CIPE office if they choose.
