    POSITION SUMMARY Primarily responsible for routine production and quality control testing of clinical Positron Emission Tomography (P.E.T.) radiopharmaceuticals and to assist Radiochemists with synthesis, analytical and other research and development activities.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Responsible for assisting chemists in research and development activities.

    Responsible for the production and quality control testing of routinely produced PET radiopharmaceuticals.

    Responsible for general upkeep of equipment used in manufacturing and QC procedures (synthesis modules, HLPCs, gas chromatograph, strip scanner, MCA).

    Responsible for ordering, receiving, and testing of chemicals, equipment, and supplies needed for production and distribution of PET radiopharmaceuticals.

    Assists with operation of cyclotron and maintenance of chemistry modules.

    Assists administrative personnel in maintaining shipping paperwork, tracking of deliveries, and preparing for future deliveries.

    Follows and upholds:

    Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

    cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Procedures)

    Radiation safety guidelines

    Pharmacy rules and regulations

    Company policies and procedures

    Rules and regulations of other applicable governing organizations (DOT, NRC, DEQ)

    Utilizes aseptic technique to ensure sterilization of final product and continued sterility testing.

    Responsible for organization and general housekeeping of laboratory.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry is required. Minimum of one year of experience working in research or production laboratory environment. Experience with cGMP, radiation safety principles, or aseptic technique a plus. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 2 am - 10 am

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    Must have hands-on experience with chemistry/laboratory equipment, techniques and processes, including familiarity with operating HPLC, gas chromatography and thin layer chromatography.

    Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 2AM - 10AM
