Summary:
The Center for Veterans Research and Education (CVRE), whose mission is helping to support innovative research and education initiatives that improve the health and well-being of Veterans, is seeking a Research Assistant. The Research Assistant is responsible for collecting and processing data for IRB approved projects.
Responsibilities: Major duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Collect, record, review psychological assessment data.
- Process and review psychological assessment data.
- Developing R and SPSS code
- Aid with research studies including recruiting, performing informed consent, collecting data relevant to the research questions, and working with clinical staff of the hospital during these studies.
- Perform record-keeping duties.
- Provide input to the principal investigator and clinical staff of the hospital during planning of future research and development activities.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s (BA/BS) or above from an accredited college or university in
public health, sociology, psychology, or related allied health field
Experience: Prior research experience (1 year) is preferred
Licensure/Registration/Certification: None
Preferred Qualifications:
- Research Assistant experience dealing with data collection and data storage, human subject studies, and institutional review board processes.
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices, human subjects’ protections, and federal regulations related to clinical research.
- Prior research experience is preferred, including data collection and data storage, human subjects’ studies, and institutional review board process.
- Some programing knowledge
- Basic experience with trouble-shooting devices and software settings.
- Experience in coordinating multiple task and project elements with differing timelines and completion deadlines.
- Familiarity with REDCap is preferred.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Conditions of Employment:
