  • Responsibilities

    The CENTRAL INTAKE MANAGER is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the Intake department to ensure the following: operational efficiencies within the E-referral and intake teams, regulatory compliance, support of branch operations and business development, achievement of key performance metrics and people management and development. The Central Intake Manager supervises Team Leads and/or individual employees. Responsible for developing and managing department budget. Recruits, interviews and hires staff and monitors productivity and performance. Works closely with branch and business development leadership on new initiatives and operational changes.

     

    • Develops, plans, implements, analyzes and organizes operations for the department. • Responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the different intake teams; provides supervision and support to the Team Leads • Works with the Finance Department to establish the annual operating budget. • Recognizes E-referral and intake leadership and provides support and supervision to the Team Leads to promote effective performance within their teams, • Communicates with the RVP Strategic Operations and Data Metrics and other leaders for direction and problem-solving. • Reviews and adheres to all Company policies and procedures.

     

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES/EXPECTATIONS: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Knowledge of business management and government regulations. • Ability to read, analyze and interpret medical documents, financial reports, and legal documents. • Ability to respond to common inquiries from leadership, branch, and business development partners. • Demonstrates effective leadership skills to motivate, educate, supervise and support staff in the development of a cohesive team; strives to maintain exemplary internal and external customer service. • Able to establish a high level of trust and credibility. • Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills • Must read, write and speak fluent English. • Must have consistent attendance and adhere to a regular schedule. • Approximate percentage of time required to travel: 10% • Performs other related duties as assigned.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS: • Business degree or minimum 5+ years’ experience in a leadership role, preferably in home health or hospice • Supervisory or management experience leading large, diverse teams • Knowledge of HCHB and experience/understanding of referral process preferred
