    Position Title: Kids Pastor Campus: Tempe

    Reports to: Lead Children’s Pastor Status: Full Time

    Position Summary: The Kids Pastor will create an exciting and engaging kid ministry environment and lead kids in their next steps on their journey with Jesus. They will work to reach and engage families in the community and will work to recruit, develop, and equip volunteer leaders. As needed and in support of the Campus Pastor, this position will support campus wide efforts such as Groups and First Impressions ministries, Café, New Here, and Made for More events.

    This position is connected to the faith and ministry of the church and moves forward the vision of Central Christian Church.

    Responsibilities:

    Community Development:

    Participate as a Kids Team Member

    Develop relationships with families (parents & kids)

    Manage communication between Kids Team and Campus Pastor

    Develop, maintain and grow partnerships with families, school administrators and organizations

    Participate in the leadership, development and implementation of weekend ministry. Including, but not limited to: Curriculum and program development, Resource preparation, Room preparation, Room staffing and Set-up and tear down

    Participate in the leadership and implementation of various ministry events. Including, but not limited to: Pre-Teen Camp (4th-6th grade), Kids Camp, Training nights, Outreach Activities, Other ministry function, Support Kids Ministry Core Values, Safety and Security, Biblical Teaching, Fun, Community, Families

    Support the Campus Pastor in his/her leadership of the campus by:

    Working in the First Impressions and Groups ministries, as needed

    Assisting in the leadership of the Café team

    Handling benevolence requests

    Support community outreach efforts

    Act as a backup for Campus Pastor in his or her absence

    Leadership Development

    Lead, recruit and develop and empower volunteer leaders, both adults and students, to serve within the ministry.

    Support vision and direction of Central Christian Church and Family Ministries.

    Participate in “all staff” events at each level.

    Attend weekly team meetings in kids ministry

    Attend all church wide/campus specific events

    Attend Campus Lead Team meetings as required

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

    A personal walk with Jesus.

    Excellent written and communication skills.

    Ability to work independently within scope of assignment.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

    Physical Requirements:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to twenty pounds.
