    Job Title: PARALEGAL CONTRACTS COORDINATOR

    Department: Legal

    Reports To: Contracts Manager

    Work Schedule: Day

    Travel Time %: 15 Position Type: Full-Time FLSA Status: Non-Exempt POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Paralegal/contracts coordinator job position is fundamental to the overall strength of the business. The position will contribute to the stability and development of the Company by maintaining the company contracts database, research on legal issues, due diligence, discovery and assisting with the drafting and completion of contracts.

    At CCA, the paralegal/contracts coordinator will support the legal team with a broad array of tasks such as drafting contracts/purchasing agreements/consulting agreements, maintaining/implementing a contracts database, assisting with due diligence and discovery and RFPs.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Maintain contracts database, as well as preparation of monthly/weekly dashboard for executive review.

    Assist with drafting and completion of contracts.

    Assist with due diligence, discovery and legal research.

    Assist with all aspects of corporate maintenance and governance.

    Strong writing, communication and presentation skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities.

    Must be able to work in a team environment. Strong self-starter committed to drive projects to completion.

    Proficiency with Asana, Google Docs, Microsoft Word and Excel.

    Familiarity with Carta, Shareworks or similar Web based tracking systems is a plus.

    Conduct and/or attend all required meetings, training sessions, seminars, conferences, etc.

    Perform all other duties as assigned or inherent to the position.

    EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: REQUIRED:

    ● 3+ years in paralegal capacity, or related legal role

    ● Bachelor’s Degree (or higher)

    ● Intermediate experience with project management software

    ● Intermediate knowledge and practical use of Microsoft Office systems (i.e., MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and other MS Tools) and Google Docs

    ● Proficient in legal research including regulatory database and simple Boolean searches

    ● Proficiency of the English language, verbal and written format

    ● Must possess and maintain a valid California Driver License, and meet requirements for insurability under the Company’s policy

    DESIRED:

    ● Paralegal certification

    ● Functional knowledge of California cannabis regulations

    ● Certificate of completion of applicable Occupational Safety and Health training

    ● Familiarity with Carta, Shareworks or similar Web based equity tracking systems is a plus.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds utilizing partner lift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    Driving a motor vehicle on a commercial road or highway is required. Basic physical and mental requirements and/or functions governed by the applicable state and/or federal regulatory agency for motor vehicle use will apply.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    Primarily in an office environment. Will be expected to travel as needed. The Company is unable to control the work environment while an employee is conducting business outside of Company premises. This may cause for an employee to be subject to fluctuating noise, temperature or other environmental factors outside the control of the Company.
