Medical Billing/Authorization Coordinator
Central Coast Home Health is a fast growing organization with agreat reputation throughout the Central Coast. We are seeking a full-timeAuthorization Coordinator to join our billing team.
Work schedule is 40 hours/week Monday - Friday in our San Luis Obispo office.
The essential duties of this position will be confirming primary and secondary payers, eligibility and benefits for all non-Medicare payers with whom CCHH is currently contracted, obtaining and tracking initial and ongoing authorization for services, and communicating financial responsibility with patient. Also completes various reports while alsobeing of assistance the Home Health Billing team as a whole when needed.This person will need to be able to retrieve documentation anddetails on a regular basis with some distraction, as well as taking onadditional duties as needed in order to keep a team environment.
Knowledge/Abilities:
Ability to meet tight deadlines and stay on task
Good organizational, data entry and critical thinkingskills
Should be familiar with medical terminology
Job Requirements:
- Two+ years of Medical office experience preferred*
Must be a good typist and have strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software and systems.
Knowledge of basic office practices and procedures
Detail oriented and able to work well with others as well as independently.
