Job Description
Medium sized Independent insurance agency seeking a licensed customer service representative to work in our Johnston, Iowa office. The right candidate will service all lines of personal insurance in a fast paced office environment. The type of products our agency sells and services include Auto, Homeowner's, Umbrella, Commercial, and more. The qualified candidate is required to have a current property and casualty insurance license in Iowa. One or more years of experience in a property and casualty insurance agency required, preferably in an independent agency.
DUTIES:
- Manage incoming calls
- Work with clients with changes, payments, and inquiries.
- Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction
- Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication
- Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools
- Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution
- Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents
- Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
- Take the extra mile to engage customers
SKILLS
- Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative
- Licensed in P&C and have a minimum of 1 year of experience in the insurance industry
- Dependability is a must.
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
- Familiarity with AMS360 Management System
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
