    Central Machine Works is a 12,000 ft brewpub and beer hall in east Austin situated in a machine shop that made airplane parts during WWII. The space has an industrial, yet polished and elegant taproom, a massive outdoor beer garden, and an event/entertainment venue. We have hosted amateur wrestling, big-name bands, motorcycle shows, commercials and so much more. We like to create a good time. Our aim is to brew the highest quality, session-able beers with a focus on lagers and historical ales. Our kitchen offers an array of classic and contemporary European pub fare with a focus on pizza, which is damn good.

    Earning potential of $22 - $26/hr. with tips included! Benefiits:

    We are looking for an experienced Line Cook to join our team! You will be preparing and cooking a variety of dishes for restaurant guests to enjoy. We are flexible but weekends are a must, Friday -Sunday. Email your resume. Applicants must have some kitchen experience, and more so, a willingness to learn and work in a high-paced environment. We are looking for team-oriented individuals to grow within our kitchen and brewery.

    Food Handler's Certification mandatory.

    Responsibilities:

    Must arrive in proper uniform promptly at the scheduled time.

    Must be able to communicate effectively at any given time.

    Hair must be kept short or tied back under a hat.

    Effectively execute all posted opening duties.

    Understanding of all health and safety protocols.

    Responsible for setup of prep and line stations.

    Solution-based mentality.

    Must take responsibility for the quality of the food being prepared and cooked throughout the shift.

    Must be able to work in a clean, organized, and safe manner.

    Maintain a positive and constructive work environment.

    Must be able to follow directives and execute.

    Immediately communicate any items that are low or 86 to a manager.

    Execute any daily cleaning and/or organizational duties

    Continual maintenance of stations keeping them stocked and clean and health inspection compliant.

    Effective execution of any posted closing duties.

    Qualifications:

    Previous experience as a restaurant cook preferred 2-3 years

    ServeSafe or Food Handler’s certification.

    Effective communication skills

    Ability to lift 30+ lbs

    Ability to work standing for 8+ hours

    Spanish Speaking a plus.

    Ordering and Schedule writing a plus.

    Experience in catering/event cooking a plus
