ABOUT US

Central Montessori School is a traditional Montessori program. We are Richmond's only urban Montessori school. Central opened its doors in November 2007 with one classroom.

Central offers a year round and full day academic program that runs from 8 to 5 with an option for early drop off and late pick up.

We have developed a program that encompasses six different developmental levels; infant, toddler, primary, lower elementary, upper elementary and middle school.

CENTRAL MONTESSORI SCHOOL IS SEEKING AN INDIVIDUAL WITH A STRONG INTEREST IN INFANT/TODDLER AGED CHILDREN TO SUPPORT A LEAD TEACHER IN A TRADITIONAL MONTESSORI PROGRAM. WE ARE A FULL DAY (8 AM-5 PM), YEAR-ROUND PROGRAM LOCATED IN DOWNTOWN RICHMOND. WE CURRENTLY HAVE OVER 150 WONDERFUL CHILDREN BETWEEN 3 MONTHS AND 12 YEARS OF AGE.

Central works closely with our parent association to provide our community with many wonderful family-friendly venues throughout the year. We actively support other programs through our volunteer efforts as well. Central Montessori School offers children ages 3 months to 12 years old an alternative education rooted in the philosophy, methodology and teachings of Dr. Maria Montessori.​
