    Metro is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for our Healthcare market.  The Regional Sales Manager manages and directs a sales force to achieve sales and profit goals within a region, as well as to deliver upon the corporate strategy of the division at a local level. THIS OPPORTUNITY MANAGES THE NORTHEAST REGION.  

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    1. Responsible for the execution of the annual sales plan to support revenue and profit objectives.
    2. Manages multiple Territory Managers within a region and adjusts sales goals and procedures as appropriate for each.
    3. Designs and recommends sales programs and sets short- and long-term sales strategies.
    4. Evaluates and implements appropriate new sales techniques to increase the region's sales volume.
    5. Collects relevant competitors' market information to increase sales volume and market share.
    6. Manages the business development effort, generating and qualifying leads for subsequent development, performing key account planning and maintaining a favorable business relationship with key accounts.
    7. Effectively uses CRM to track and report market activity and analyze results.
    8. Teams with operational groups and Territory Managers to promote early involvement, buy-in and support for leads, opportunities, and bidding projects.
    9. Other duties as assigned.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS: 

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications or related field
    2. A minimum one year relevant experience in sales; prior managerial experience preferred   
    3. Excellent communication skills 
    4. Superior problem solving, planning, organizational, and analytical skills
    5. The ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force to move objects.
    6. The ability and willingness to travel overnight as needed.

    • Technical (mechanical) emphasis, preferred

     

    Experience

    • Sanitary valve knowledge, required
    • 3 to 5 years valve experience, required
    • Extensive mechanical experience, preferred
    • 2+ years in sanitary process industry, preferred
    • Experience in technical problem solving and troubleshooting, preferred
