The Director of Infection Prevention, oversees and mentors staff in the collection, analysis, and reporting of data, facilitating improvement projects, assessing for and implementing risk reduction measures and assessing and coordinating activities related to achieving and maintaining ongoing regulatory compliance. Specific activities encompass surveillance, educating, providing leadership, and being accountable for related activities. It also requires communication with and reporting of facility-specific information to corporate counterparts, public health and regulatory agencies as a means of prevention and treatment of patient-related infectious disease processes, as well as interaction with worker's compensation, in order to promote employee health and safety.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

• Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (CIC) required.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) license in the State of California, highly preferred

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR Certification through the American Heart Association
