    GROUP DESCRIPTION

    Under direct supervision, work alongside HR Support Center staff to provide support in functional areas of a human resources department, which may include recruitment and employment, employee and/or labor relations, pay advice, compensation administration, benefits administration, people development and training. The successful intern candidate will begin work by the Fall of 2019 and may have the opportunity to extend the internship beyond that time frame.  

     

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Framatome is seeking an intern to join our Talent Management organization. This opportunity has the potential to be a multi-semester assignment giving the intern the opportunity to work in an HR environment while simultaneously pursuing their college degree.

    • Assist employees in the guidance, interpretation and application of Human Resources policies and procedures. 
    • Advise employees and propose solutions to basic Human Resources issues.
    • Assist in conducting effective, thorough and objective case management leading to timely, effective and consistent resolution of   employee issues.
    • Develop a thorough and up-to-date understanding of all company HR programs, including benefits
    • Maintains personnel files in electronic filing system.
    • Generates HR/Payroll predefined report queries
    • Collaboratively work with Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to resolve employee issues.
    • Performs a variety of general office administrative duties, as required.

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

    ALL CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY.

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree with at least 4 semesters (or equivalent) completed by start of internship. Graduate students may also be considered. (A copy of your unofficial academic transcript IS REQUIRED when applying to this position. Please make sure a copy is uploaded to your profile or your application will not be considered.)

    • Available to work internship beginning 2019 and on a flexible basis through 2020

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint)

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

     

    THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS ARE DESIRED AND WILL BE USED TO DIFFERENTIATE ALL CANDIDATES WHO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION.

    • Previous work experience preferably in an HR or related setting
    • Successful completion of coursework in Human Resources

  • Qualifications

     

    • Minimum qualifications:  Associate’s degree and zero to two years administrative assistant experience in an office environment or any combination of training, knowledge and experience.
    • Proven writing skills including the ability to proof read for proper language and grammar, and editorial
    • Self-starter and a disciplined problem
    • Strong attention to
    • Overall demonstrated communication
    • Track record of intermediate level knowledge of databases, MS Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

    Preferred Qualifications: 1-3 years of experience in a legal or government office environment.
