    CentraLarm Monitoring is a Manchester-based, Emergency Services Dispatch Center. We are responsible for monitoring residential and commercial security alarms and providing our customers with peace of mind that their property is being protected. We do this by proactively and professionally alerting our customers of a potential issue. We are engaged with our customers 100% of the time over the phone, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented Dispatcher to help our growing customer base. You'll be responsible for the relaying of all alarm activity, both emergency and non-emergency events, recording details of said events, and other assigned duties. If this sounds promising, apply today! Responsibilities: Representatives are responsible for monitoring alarm systems to detect emergencies, such as fires and illegal entry into establishments. Their duties include: • Recording details of calls, dispatches, and messages • Receiving incoming telephone or alarm system calls regarding emergency and non-emergency police and fire service, emergency ambulance service, information, and after-hours calls for departments within a city • Relay information and messages to and from emergency sites, to law enforcement agencies, and to all other individuals or groups requiring notification • Test and adjust alarm systems, and report malfunctions • Other duties as assigned Required CompetenciesOral Expression - The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. Ability to communicate effectively via phone • Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times • Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents • Strong Computer Skills - Proficiency and comfort typing on the computer Preferred Competencies • Commitment to customer satisfaction and an ability to make quick and accurate decisions • High level of professionalism • Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems • Willingness to learn and grow with the company Other Requirements • Our schedule is generally between 7:00 am - 7:00 pm with employees working a combination of 12-hour shifts and 8-hour shifts. Part-time hours are also available • 1 weekend day is required as part of a regular schedule • Employees are part of an on-call rotation Qualifications: Candidate should be comfortable working with people in dynamic and stressful conditions Previous work in a customer-facing position Candidates with 1+ years of experience as a service dispatcher are preferred Candidate must have great customer service communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Compensation: $15 - $17 hourly
