We are a private, well-established optometric practice that invests heavily in exceeding patient expectations. We are seeking a Sales Associate - Optical Assistant to work in our upscale optical specializing in quality, independent lines. We are currently accepting EITHER FULL-TIME OR PART-TIME candidates.

The right candidate will have strong people and sales skills, a keen eye for fashion, the willingness to learn, attention to detail, and be a team player. We are OPEN TO NEW TRAINEES! The right candidate will be cross-trained to cover pre-testing and front desk responsibilities as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Present and sell high-end eyewear to new and existing customers
• Measure, fit, and adjust eyewear
• Edge lenses to frames on an in-house edger
• Order and notify patients of eyewear and contact lens orders
• Dispense eyewear and troubleshoot patient concerns
• Enter pricing and sales information into the computer system
• Manage eyewear inventory - stock product, price frames, track sales
• Meet with frame representatives to select product

• Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Team player willing to cross-train with optometric staff
• People-oriented
• Attention to detail

TYPICAL HOURS:

• Monday: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
• Tuesday: 10:30 am to 7:00 pm
• Wednesday: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
• Thursday: CLOSED
• Friday: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
• Two Saturdays a month: 8:00 am to 2:00 pm
• Sunday: CLOSED

JOB TYPE: Full-time or Part-time

PAY: Based on experience. Ranging from $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
