WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Assembly line personnel will follow our company procedures for assembly operations using current work instruction documents or other authorized, defined processes. (Capability to perform the following: (a) pulling and packaging brake components and systems according to bills of material, while maintaining and following process documents; (b) assembling, checking and packaging rotor assemblies using small hand tools; (c) assembling, testing, and packaging brake line assemblies; (d) assembling, testing, and packaging calipers; (e) assembling and packaging brackets.) Additional duties include:
- Follow written and verbal instructions
- Understand and follow part numbering system
- Understand and apply quality standards/inspection procedures to work product
- Understand and rigorously adhere to bills of materials in work orders
- Attention to details – labels, paperwork, etc
- Heavy lifting up to 75 pounds (25-50 pounds frequently).
- Ability to work without continuous supervision
- Able to multi-task, plan efficient work flow, and transition between tasks and processes quickly
- Keep work area and department clean, neat, and orderly
- Abide by all policies established by the Employee Handbook and other rules and safety procedures established at Company
- Other duties as may be required by management, including any tasks required to implement and maintain the company’s TS16949 Quality Certification.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Spanish may be helpful but not required
- Must be knowledgeable of using Microsoft Windows based computer
- Able to use Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
- Able to learn use of Genesis software
- Interact with supervisors/managers in other departments in a professional manner
- Interact with employees, customers and suppliers in a professional manner
- Good organizational skills
- Previous work experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or service/repair position preferred.
- Strong knowledge and experience with hand tools, including measurements of force (example: ft/lbs vs. inch/lbs.
