    BILINGUAL CALL CENTER AGENT (ENGLISH AND SPANISH)

    Location: WASHINGTON, DC

    Job Type: TEMPORARY - 6 MONTHS

    Salary: $19.50/HR.

    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    CentroNía seeks a bilingual customer service professional to support an information hotline for DC CARES funding for excluded workers in DC.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Answers phone inquiries for DC CARES and refers to appropriate channels
    2. Relays eligibility criteria and process for submitting an application for assistance
    3. Assists callers with submitting an application over the phone.
    4. Collects and records data on all calls into the designated database; maintain and update database records, and keeps a filing system for all cases.
    5. Supports and promotes the hotline through participation in community events and training

    REQUIRED CORE COMPETENCIES:

    1. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
    2. Intermediate computer literacy.
    3. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google Docs required.
    4. Ethical and professional conduct.
    5. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
    6. Excellent organization skills
    7. Attention to detail.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bilingual (English-Spanish / Spanish-English).
    • Customer Service experience in an educational setting.
    • ·High School Diploma or equivalent.
