DUTIES OF POSITION
The Combined Test Bed Technical Specialist duties include: Serve as the Operations Control Center (OCC) representative to provide customer service and direct interface to laboratory users for their establishment of asset configurations and accomplishment of systems engineering, development, and test event objectives. Provides access control/security for all persons and material entering or leaving the lab. Responsible for the receipt, distribution, and tracking of classified/unclassified technical data associated with the Lab. Day-to-day administrative activities supporting the Combined Test Bed (CTB) laboratory standard operation procedures to include complying and enforcing Naval Informaiton Warfare Center- Pacific SSC PAC and CTB lab security policies (i.e. access control for personnel, media, and equipment, two person integrity (TPI) open/closing lab spaces). Execution of services and documentation for user support; enters and maintains OCC log ensuring all pertinent information regarding all lab activities is documented. Assists with the schedule by ensuring all customers sign in/out all scheduled equipment. Shift work required to cover the 24 hour day laboratory operation.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Two years of experience working with MS-Excel, MS-Word and MS-Access • Two years of experience operating printers, fax machines and scanners; • This position functions as the user’s initial point of contact – exceptional technical communication and troubleshooting skills are required.
This position requires a Secret US DoD security clearance.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of technical and management personnel. Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment; excellent communication skills.
