    POSITION PROFILE

     

    The Coordinator – People & Culture will be responsible for providing support to the salaried and hourly employee groups through assisting in the implementation of company-wide HR programs, supporting the Manager – People & Organizational Development positive employee relations and promoting a people-first culture, organizational efficiency, communication and understanding.

     

     

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    RECRUITING

    • Assist with recruitment strategies that are robust, proactive, and align with business objectives and workforce planning.
    • Meet designated metrics and goals determined by the recruiting strategy plan such as number of phone screens, hiring team interviews, time to fill, and number of jobs filled which will vary depending on the type of role.
    • Support with creative sourcing strategies and provide updates and reports on current channel strategy.
    • Prioritizes and fills vacant positions to ensure quality of service continuity based on the needs of the organization while building a pipeline of future candidates.
    • Supports the recruitment process by posting positions, conducting interviews for hiring managers, and applicant correspondence.
    • Source candidates by attending job fairs or other recruiting events, networking within the industry and making cold calls as necessary
    • Assists with the onboarding process, inclusive of extending employment offers, completing pre-hire paperwork and background screening procedures for all candidates.
    • Provide support with new hire and existing team member training programs.

     

    PAYROLL & BENEFIT ADMINISTRATION

    • Assist Managers/Supervisors, with evaluation of positions, justification for salary changes if required
    • Keep informed on compensation trends in the industry to ensure competitive rates are paid.
    • Assist the Manager – People and Organizational Development with annual open enrollments for benefits

     

    HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATION

    • Establish and manage employee records, and files, safeguarding the confidentiality of employee documents.
    • Prepare and complete documents for new hires and ensure that payroll is updated with the appropriate information.
    • Support the performance planning & coaching program with timely performance reviews forms and collection of feedback
    • Ensure Human Resources initiatives are value added and that services and programs are delivered efficiently and expertly.
    • Keep current on changing legislation and regulations regarding human resources matters to ensure management and employees are trained in these areas.
    • Be active member of the Cerelia USA Bakery Inc. Human Resources team including participation on various Corporate HR related projects.
    • Provide support to other departments for ad-hoc projects.

    ENTRANCE QUALIFICATIONS

    • 3+ years of relevant work experience with good business acumen
    • Completion of post-secondary education, preferably in Human Resources
    • Knowledge of HR standards and best practices
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience with ADP WFN or other databases, with excellent skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Keen attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Proven record of taking responsibility and using good judgment, including exercise of discretion and confidentiality
    • Adaptable and flexible with a demonstrated ability to take initiative
    • Self-starter with a winning attitude who is comfortable working independently and with a team
    • Ability to improve an organization’s talent pool, culture and overall performance through progressive human resources practices
    • High level of integrity
    • Ability to effectively work with all levels of hourly and management personnel
