    JOB DESCRIPTION:

Join Baxter Aerospace and shape the future of firefighting with our Dragonfly autonomous aircraft, a groundbreaking vertical takeoff platform designed to clear the air—literally. Our mission is to combat wildfires with innovative, scalable technology, delivering real-time data and paving the way for autonomous water-dropping solutions that protect lives and landscapes.

As a Certifications Engineer, you will lead regulatory engagement and airworthiness planning across our cutting-edge aerospace technologies—from high-performance antenna systems to autonomous flight operations. This role combines strategic certification planning with hands-on collaboration across engineering and regulatory teams to ensure Baxter’s systems are safe, compliant, and mission-ready.

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in certification processes, aircraft systems, and regulatory frameworks—ideally with experience in STCs, TCs, or FAA COA processes. If you’re comfortable navigating airworthiness pathways and enjoy working at the intersection of innovation and compliance, we want to hear from you.

    ABOUT OUR COMPANY:

Lead efforts to obtain Certificates of Waiver or Authorization (COAs) for Dragonfly operations.

Draft and maintain regulatory documentation including means of compliance, conformity packages, and approval artifacts.

Serve as a liaison between Baxter and certifying authorities, ensuring alignment on technical and procedural pathways.

Support integration testing and validation activities related to certified systems.

    Nice to Have:

Current on relevant FAA, EASA, and ICAO regulatory developments and certification standards.

    SKILLS:

Bachelor’s in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Experience with aircraft certification, particularly STC/TC processes or operational waivers.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage certification projects and timelines independently.

Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
