Job Summary
Lab technicians play a critical role in diagnosing and evaluating medical conditions by conducting tests and analyzing laboratory samples such as urine drug testing at our agency. This position involves processing specimens, performing diagnostic tests, and providing results that assist in the diagnosis and treatment planning for our clients. Lab technicians collaborate with healthcare teams, ensuring accurate testing and contributing to comprehensive patient care.
Successful lab technicians are characterized by their strong attention to detail, technical proficiency, and ability to work efficiently to collect, document accurate urine drug testing. They demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills, maintain confidentiality, and follow protocols to ensure accurate and reliable results that support effective client care and treatment plannings.
Responsibilities
Analyze blood, urine, for drug testing samples to detect abnormalities and assist in diagnosis.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it functions properly.
Document test results accurately and prepare reports for healthcare and clinicians professionals.
Collaborate with doctors and healthcare teams to ensure correct testing protocols.
Maintainclient confidentiality and adhere to laboratory safety and quality control standards.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or related field.
Certification as a Urinalysis Drug Testing Technician (MLT).
Proficient in laboratory testing and equipment handling.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills for working with healthcare teams.
