    Job Summary

    We are seeking a qualified, friendly, and compassionate Certified Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Certified Dental Assistant, you will help deliver exceptional dental care that makes our patients feel like family.

    The ideal candidate is patient-focused, organized, and possesses a calm demeanor that helps children and parents feel at ease. A well-qualified applicant will hold a current CDA license, have at least two years of experience, and possess an active nitrous oxide certification.

    Responsibilities

    Assist the pediatric dentist during a variety of dental treatment procedures

    Provide gentle, supportive care to pediatric patients and help manage child behavior during appointments

    Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment

    Capture digital X-rays and maintain accurate patient records

    Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and post-treatment care

    Maintain a clean, organized and sterile work environment

    Support team members and office operations as needed

    Adhere to all health, safety, and infection control protocols

    Qualifications

    Current Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certificate or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) state licensure through the Dental Assisting National Board's (DANB)

    Current/active Nitrous Oxide certification

    Minimum of two years of dental assisting experience (pediatric experience preferred)

    Strong computer and data entry skills

    Excellent communication and customer service abilities

    Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate patient care

    Positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset

    Must be available to work at both Mount Pleasant locations (Zip codes 29464 and 29466)

    Twice a month, during the school year, hours extend from 1:00 - 7:00 p.m.
