Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assists the VP of Finance by taking full-charge accounting responsibility for the owner’s personal finances, as well as coordinating and collaborating with other team members involved in maintaining the financial systems for several corporations.
OWNER’S ACCOUNTING:
· Full-charge accounting responsibility for the owner’s personal finances, including income and expenses from rental properties. Represent owner’s interests by coordinating and collaborating with the reporting needs of owner’s CPA, banker, lenders, etc.
CORPORATE ACCOUNTING:
· Assist VP of Finance by coordinating and collaborating with other team members involved in maintaining the books and other aspects of several corporations’ financial systems. Team members are both internal (other company employees) and external (CPA, outsource bookkeeper, insurance agent, etc.).
· Follow-up with VP of Finance or outsource bookkeeper on open items.
· Upload documents to outsource bookkeeper and review their work/confirm completed, fielding back and forth queries.
· Request and file copies of current loan documents, insurance policies, and similar source documents and records.
· Assistance with various administrative tasks pertaining to compliance, insurance renewals, financial controls, etc.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
· Strong experience using Quickbooks
· Excellent proactive, project management skills
· Comfortable exercising discretion and upholding the strictest confidentiality standards
· Superb interpersonal skills with the ability to cooperatively work with all levels of personnel and personalities
· Ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing deadlines
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
· Five years or more of related experience required
