We are seeking a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) to support a DLA contract for Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics services. This role will focus on occupational safety, health evaluations, confined space assessments, and ergonomic program support across various DLA sites and potentially military installations.
Key Responsibilities: • Perform comprehensive occupational safety and health evaluations in compliance with regulatory requirements and DoD standards • Conduct assessments and sampling in industrial and administrative work environments • Provide expertise in the use of monitoring and analysis instruments • Develop and recommend solutions to ensure the protection of workers • Participate in and review ongoing construction projects, providing assessments and reports • Develop and deliver training on various health and safety topics (PPE, fall protection, noise hazards, etc.) • Conduct inspections and assist in confined space programs as needed
Minimum Qualifications: • CIH Certification from the Board for Global EHS Credentialing (BGC) • Minimum of 5 years of fieldwork experience in Industrial Hygiene • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Environmental Science, Occupational Health) • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, DoD standards, and environmental health protocols • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in dynamic environments
Preferred Skills: • Experience with DLA, military installations, or similar governmental entities • Proficiency with specific confined space protocols and other advanced industrial hygiene techniques • Experience developing ergonomic assessments and training programs
