Certified Lead Preschool Teacher P-3 CE or CEAS
Overview: The Peace Rose Montessori School seeks a highly motivated, dedicated, and certified Preschool Head Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for early childhood education, a commitment to creating a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment, and experience working with young children. This role requires a P-3 certification (CE/CEAS) in New Jersey and the ability to lead a dynamic classroom that fosters learning, growth, and development in preschool-aged children.
This position is for the 2025-2026 school year.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans based on New Jersey State Standards for Early Childhood Education.
Foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment that meets the needs of all students.
Provide individualized support to children based on their developmental needs.
Manage the classroom to ensure a safe, positive, and respectful atmosphere.
Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and development.
Assess and monitor student growth using appropriate developmental milestones and academic assessments.
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current on early childhood best practices and state guidelines.
Work closely with teaching assistants and other staff members to ensure a cohesive and collaborative learning environment.
Ensure that all school policies and state regulations are followed.
Qualifications:
A valid New Jersey CE/CEAS, P-3 certification.
A bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Experience working with preschool-age children, ideally in a lead teacher role.
Strong understanding of child development and best practices in early childhood education.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to the success of all students.
Individuals following the alternate route will be considered as well.
Experience with the Tools of the Mind curriculum is a plus.
