As our practice continuously expands, we seek to add to our medical providers, staff, and administrators team.

    As a Medical Assistant at Kids and Teens Pediatrics of Dover, you will collaborate with and work independently from our Medical Providers and administrative staff. Your responsibilities will include providing support to our providers, completing administrative tasks as well as clinical tasks, such as, maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for examination, assisting physicians with exams, maintaining vaccine rooms, and administering injections.

    Duties Include:

    ● Greet and room patients. Verify patient information; interview parent/guardian/patient, record medical history, confirm the purpose of visit, and document patient summary.

    ● Prepare patient and equipment for examination; perform preliminary physical tests; take blood pressure, weight, and temperature; report patient history summary.

    ● Assist the physician during the diagnostic procedures if applicable and when necessary.

    ● Administer and accurately document vaccines and immunizations.

    ● Verify accuracy and completion of necessary paperwork/forms needed for school, daycare, sports, or other outside ancillary services as requested by parent/guardian.

    ● Keep medical supplies, including vaccines, ready by inventorying stock, submitting inventory to management, and verifying receipt of items ordered. Assist the nurse and Office manager in maintaining the medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as needed.

    ● Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

    ● Respect and promote patient confidentiality at all times and follow HIPAA guidelines.

    ● Serve and protect the practice by adhering to professional standards, policies, and procedures, and federal, state, and local requirements.

    ● Demonstrate flexibility and be professional at all times. Adhere to all applicable policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.

    ● Other duties as assigned and needed

    Preferred Education and Experience:

    ● Medical Assistant Certification (National Health Association (NHA))

    ● Minimum of One-year Experience in Administering IM and SubQ Injections

    ● Minimum of One-year Experience as a Medical Assistant

    Preferred Skillset:

    ● Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills

    ● Strong EMR and General Computer Skills

    ● Strong Customer Service Skills

    ● High Level of Professionalism and Teamwork

    ● In-Depth Knowledge of Medical Terminology

    ● Bilingual (Spanish Preferred)
