    Requirements

    • Certified Medical Assistant (not required, but recommended)

    • Minimum 2+* years experience in medical assisting in a busy Family Practice, Urgent Care, or Internal Medicine setting.

    • Medical Home Experience is a plus.

    • Stable work history and verifiable employment references.

    • HIPPA/OSHA Compliance

    Competencies

    • Computer literate, prior experience working with EMR software.

    • Command of medical terminology and abbreviations.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Cooperative team player with professional maturity.

    • Reliable, able to focus on details, process work accurately/timely with excellent follow-through.

    *Responsibilities *

    • Positive self-starter

    • Efficient with all Medical Assisting Duties, ie: Venipuncture, injections, ekg, in-house specimen collection/processing(CLIA), vitals, assist in surgical procedure and gyn procedures, ear lavage, complete and efficient documentation, lab supply ordering, wide knowledge of medications, prior-authorizations, medical records, and care coordination.

    • Manage patient flow to maximize provider efficiency.

    • Able to coordinate rooming of patients for more than one provider if necessary.

    • Able to work with limited supervision

    • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work

    • Room turnover/stocking

    • Phone traige/Lab calls/Portal Messaging

    • Assist in the Front office when needed (scheduling, answering phones, check-in/check-out)

    • Willingness to learn and evolve

    • Quality Management(Prevention and Chronic care)

    • Follow Clinic policies and procedures/protocols

    *Front office experience such as answering the phones, verifying benefits, making appointments, and taking payments. At times may need to cover the front office.
