About the Role:
Williamsburg Urgent Care is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced urgent care team in Williamsburg, VA! Responsibilities:
Assist physicians and providers with patient examinations and clinical procedures
Perform vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, and point-of-care testing
Prepare and room patients in a timely and professional manner
Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the EMR system
Sterilize and prepare exam rooms and medical equipment between patients
Support front and back office operations as needed in an urgent care setting
Requirements:
Current CMA certification (AAMA, AMT, NHA, or equivalent) required
Previous experience in urgent care, primary care, or a clinical setting preferred
Proficiency in phlebotomy and clinical back-office procedures
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
Ability to multitask and remain calm in a high-volume environment
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
