    Qualifications:

    Required:

    • High School/GED
    • 3 plus years of Medical Assistant experience
    • Valid Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in the State of New Hampshire (NH)

    Any of the following valid licenses/certifications:

    • American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS)
    • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)

     

    Overview:

    As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will perform clinical support procedures under the direct supervision of Office Nurse or Physician. Your responsibilities include assisting in examinations, performing various medical procedures, maintaining medical records, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Performs blood draws, injections, child immunizations, lab tests, and any other procedures pertinent to the practice and within the scope of MA certification.
    • Assists Physician in examinations, which may include taking blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
    • Keeps rooms cleaned and stocked with necessary supplies.
    • Takes and returns patient phone calls as directed by the Physician.
    • Gives instructions to patients as instructed by the Physician.
    • Requisition supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock.
    • Assists with maintaining the medical record, including completing referral forms, lab slips, and other pertinent documentation as requested by the Physician.
    • Assists patients getting to and from exam rooms, preparing for exams, as requested, and during procedures.
    • Assists with any nursing procedure as directed by the Physician.
    • Assists the patients as needed, getting to and from the exam rooms, and preparing patients for exams and treatments.
    • Assists in other areas as requested by the Manager and/or Clinical Coordinator, operating within the guidelines of MA certification.
    • Must work as a member of a team and be flexible.
