You’ll be responsible for welcoming patients, scheduling appointments and work closely with our healthcare staff to take patient histories, collect test samples, and help with examinations. Responsibilities: • Take the patient’s vital signs including their pulse, body temperature, respiration rate, and blood pressure and record it in their chart • Fill out the appropriate insurance forms and document patient appointments, listing all symptoms, test results, diagnoses, treatment instructions, and prescriptions on the patient records • Say hello to patients when they come to the office, answer the phone, schedule appointments, and answer inquiries about prescription refills and treatment to ensure patients have a pleasant experience at our office • Get examination rooms ready for patients by ensuring the rooms are well-stocked and at a comfortable temperature and all equipment is sterilized • Obtain blood samples from patients and sent them to the laboratory for testing • Provide medication as instructed by providers and protocol Qualifications: • Ability use a computer to complete administrative tasks • Has Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or other certifying agency • Over 1 year of work experience as a medical assistant performing admin duties or similar role in a healthcare work environment • Candidates must have successfully completed an accredited medical assisting program a supervised externship in a healthcare setting • Solid communication and customer service skills Compensation: $21 - $25 hourly
