    Job Overview:

    AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) to provide direct patient care at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC). The CNA will work under the supervision of nursing staff to assist with activities of daily living, patient observation, and basic clinical duties while ensuring patient safety and comfort in compliance with established protocols and Joint Commission (JC) guidelines.

    General Duties:

    Perform all tasks within the scope of CNA practice and as per WRNMMC and JC guidelines.

    Support the healthcare team and patients across all age groups: infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

    Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of medical equipment.

    Specific Duties:

    Assist patients with activities of daily living (e.g., bathing, feeding, dressing).

    Take and record vital signs in accordance with medical orders and MTF protocols.

    Prepare patients for clinical procedures and diagnostic testing.

    Record physiological data in patient records.

    Support admissions, discharges, and patient transfers.

    Monitor and maintain infection control and safety procedures.

    Orient patients to the hospital environment.

    Collaborate with charge nurses and supervisors to ensure quality patient care.

    Maintain documentation and comply with all MTF standards and ethical practices.

    Participate in training and quality improvement activities as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    Degree/Education: High School Diploma or GED. Completion of a medical assisting program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES, or equivalent (e.g., military training).

    Experience: Minimum three (3) years of experience as a CNA in a clinical setting.

    Certification:

    Current CPR certification.

    Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent.

    Licensure: Valid, unrestricted CNA license from any U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth.

    Skills and Abilities:

    Proficient in assisting patients of all ages with daily care needs.

    Familiarity with healthcare terminology and ability to use clinical equipment.

    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    Ability to work in fast-paced hospital environments.

    Skilled in maintaining electronic medical records.

    Schedule:

    Full-time, Monday through Friday

    Between 0600 and 1800 hours

    8-hour shifts on scheduled workdays

    Work Environment:

    Clinical hospital settings.

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to lift, support, and transfer patients.

    Immunization Requirement:

    Must meet MTF immunization standards.

    Security Requirement:

    U.S. Citizenship and background check required.
