    DESCRIPTION of the position:

    The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) works directly with children with disabilities, to provide in-home care and support. Behavior Support Aides Service delivery includes structured tasks that consist of a comprehensive functional behavioral assessment of challenging behavior(s).

    LOCATION: Sharpsburg, GA

    Schedule: Wednesday 4:00pm - 9:00pm / Saturday 10:00am - 6:00pm / Sundays 10:00am - 6:00pm / PRN

    RESPONSIBILITIES of the Job:

    Implement 1:1 behavioral intervention program for children with autism in their homes. Assist and encourage with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) Observe and record a child's behaviors through data input into an electronic device and log hours and data accurately. Communicate with supervisory staff Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors. Be goal-oriented and maintain professionalism in all aspects of your work. Complete daily session notes in a timely and thorough manner Attend and participate in additional trainings or meetings. Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions.

    REQUIREMENTS of the job:

    Must have a minimum of 1 full year of CNA experience Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is preferred Previous experience working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities is a plus Previous experience with tonic and focal seizure patients is a plus Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to follow instructions and implement behavior intervention plans accurately Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping individuals with special needs Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Reliable transportation to travel to client locations as needed
