Job Summary
We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. caring for a medically fragile child in a home setting provides essential clinical and personal support under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The role focuses on maintaining the child’s safety, comfort, and health stability while adhering to a specialized care plan.
Responsibilities
Daily Living Assistance (ADLs): Provide hands-on care for personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
Nutritional Support: Assist with meal preparation and feeding; monitor and document fluid intake and dietary requirements.
Medical Equipment Management: Oversee the cleanliness and proper functioning of specialized home equipment, such as oxygen tanks, ventilators, or feeding pumps.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of treatments, medications, and any incidents according to agency and state policies.
Emotional Support: Engage the child in age-appropriate play and offer reassurance to both the patient and family members during stressful periods.
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED
Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
First aid and CPR-certified(BLS certification)
Basic computer skills
Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
Excellent communication and interpersonal spills
Ability to lift heaving objects
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to work with limited supervision
