    BrightStar Care is seeking experienced, patient, and dependable CNAs or PCAs to provide one-on-one care for a client with severe dementia. This role is best suited for caregivers who are confident managing agitation, resistance to care, and communication barriers while maintaining a calm, structured care approach.

    Required Schedule:

    Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays

    7:00 AM – 8:00 PM

    Must be available every week for all three days and the full shift

    Client Care Environment:

    Client has severe dementia

    May be agitated, irritable, resistant to care, and have communication barriers

    Requires a caregiver skilled in redirection, de-escalation, and dementia-appropriate communication

    Care approach must prioritize safety, dignity, and consistency

    Responsibilities:

    Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, toileting, and hygiene

    Provide calm reassurance and redirection during behavioral episodes

    Utilize dementia-appropriate communication techniques

    Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning per plan of care

    Maintain a safe and structured environment

    Observe and report changes in behavior or condition

    Follow individualized plan of care and safety protocols

    Required Qualifications:

    CNA or PCA certification/licensure in the State of Arkansas

    Current CPR or BLS certification

    Valid Arkansas driver’s license

    Current automobile insurance

    Reliable transportation

    Ability to pass a criminal background check

    Proven history of reliability and professionalism

    Preferred Experience:

    Hands-on experience with moderate to severe dementia

    Experience managing agitation and resistance to care

    Experience using Hoyer lifts and gait belts

    Knowledge of safe transfer techniques

    Ideal Candidate:
