Who We Are McKenney Home Care is a growing, family-owned agency dedicated to helping seniors live safely, comfortably, and as independently as possible in their own homes in Lee and Collier County. We provide one-on-one private duty care and are seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers to join our supportive team.
What We’re Looking For
Tuesdays and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Caregiver must speak clear English and be skilled. These shifts are ongoing and cannot be changed. The client's wife was clear about not changing the current caregivers' schedules. Client is in Naples- Pelican Bay. No pets in the home. A 2-hour training shift must be scheduled with the caregiver before they can be scheduled with this client.
One caregiver for a male client with experience with dementia and Parkinson's. He is in the advanced stages of Parkinson's. His wife and kids are adamant that his caregiver have experience with both. It will either be Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, or Monday through Thursday. And the hours also changed again to 11 a.m.–3 p.m., 12 p.m.–4 p.m., or 1 p.m.–5 p.m. No pets in the home. Client's family will want a Zoom interview with the caregiver to determine if it's a good fit.
Position Overview
As a Caregiver, you will provide daily living support and companionship to clients in their homes, helping them maintain quality of life and independence. This role offers flexible scheduling and meaningful, relationship-based care.
What You’ll Do
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support
Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping
Provide medication reminders (no medication administration)
Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or community outings as needed
Observe and report changes in a client’s condition
Follow individualized care plans and complete required documentation
Requirements
Authorized to work in the United States
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
AHCA Level 2 background screening (or willingness to complete) https://info.flclearinghouse.com
CPR certification (in-person) or willingness to obtain
TB test within the last 6 months or chest X-ray within the last 5 years (or willingness to obtain)
Strong communication skills, reliability, and a professional, caring attitude
