Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Job Type: Full Time Day Shift 6a-6p

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional patient care skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. As a CNA, you will support patients with daily living activities and assist healthcare professionals in providing high-quality medical care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist patients with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Help patients with mobility, including transferring, walking, and using assistive devices.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide basic care to patients, including feeding and maintaining comfort.
- Communicate effectively with patients and fellow staff.
- Document patient care activities accurately in compliance with regulatory and facility policies.
- Participate in training and staff meetings to maintain and enhance knowledge and skills.
- Adhere to all healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:

- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant for Louisiana.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and demonstrate flexibility in a changing environment.
- Proficient in basic computer skills and electronic healthcare records.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift and move patients as needed.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and prolonged standing/walking.
