We are hiring for Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walmart!
This role is open to candidates located near Plainfield, IN who are willing to relocate to the area.
In this role, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and support to our pharmacy operations. In this position, you will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, maintaining inventory, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations.
** Compensation:**
- Salary range: $19.50 - 21.50 hourly **** based on experience.
- 2nd shift gets $2/hr differential added to base pay
- 3rd shift gets $3/hr differential added to base pay
_ Schedule_
- 1st Shift: Must be available to work between the hours of 6am – 6pm
- 2nd Shift: Must be available to work between the hours of 3pm – 3am
- 3rd Shift: Must be available to work between the hours of 10pm – 10am
Requirements:
- Meet state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician, including minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and/or licensure when required by the Indiana State Board of Pharmacy.
- Hold an active/valid national certification certificate issued by PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT).
Job Duties:
- Maintain pharmacy systems and technology, including inventory systems and automated medication counting machines. Responsibilities include preparing records and reports, monitoring inventory levels and expiration dates, calibrating machines, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with policies.
- Track medication inventory, restocking and reporting low stock levels, performing inventory counts, and using inventory information systems to create reports. The role also requires supporting documentation and reporting to ensure pharmaceutical integrity, including data entry, paperwork processing, and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist in prescription fulfillment process, promote the pharmacy’s reputation, and maintain a safe work environment. Responsibilities include using scanners for order fulfillment, verifying product details, labeling prescriptions, and preparing medications in a fast-paced setting.
- Ensure inventory quality and accuracy through automated control systems, adhering to inventory control procedures, managing databases, troubleshooting performance issues, and properly disposing of expired or recalled stock.
