Certified Plant Growers is seeking a quality person to manage our distribution, accounting, office Admin, safety and miscellaneous responsibilities based on the person’s ability to learn and grow. This is great opportunity for someone to step right in or someone to learn and grow into position. No nursery experience is required. Spanish a big plus.

Certified Plant Growers has been a successful business for 30 years. We specialize in growing and selling plants wholesale to Independent Garden Centers in Southern California. Family is retiring and now under New ownership. We are ready to carry on the current business as well as take business to the next level.  Compensation ranges from $40,000 to $60,000. The compensation will be determined based on the skill level, ability to take on responsibility and be a key manager. Potential to be CFO with bonuses and profit sharing.

 SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

·         College degree with emphasis on business

·         Ability to develop their skills in executive leadership position

·         Leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity

·         Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills

·         Understanding of accounting and basic business operations

·         Willingness to multi task in a small organization.

·         Spanish a big plus.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Financial Management

·         Daily reconciliation of cash./Billing of deliveries

·         Accounts payables/Accounts receivable

·         Annual Business Plan with owner

·         Annual profit and loss / with accounting firm

·         Maintain a 3 year Forecast module

·         Shipment of product

Management of Administration

·         IT and software management.

·         Insurance negotiations and purchases.

o   Work compensation, auto and general liability.

·         Human Resource needs.

o   Employee Handbooks/Employee hiring/New hire training

o   Safety compliance and training/Covid19 compliance.
