    Job Summary:

    Our growing tax firm is seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our team. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, providing strategic tax planning advice, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have deep tax expertise, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our diverse client base.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, and trusts

    • Conduct tax research and provide strategic tax planning recommendations to clients

    • Assist clients with IRS and state audits, correspondence, and compliance issues

    • Advise clients on tax implications of business decisions and transactions

    • Keep up to date with changing tax laws and regulations, and apply updates appropriately

    • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all client interactions and filings

    • Collaborate with other team members during tax season to manage workflow and deadlines

    • Utilize tax software (ATX) and accounting platforms efficiently (QuickBoooks Enterprise, Desktop, and Online)

    • Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive, professional service

    Qualifications:

    • Active CPA license

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s in Taxation a plus

    • 3+ years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax

    • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes and regulations

    • Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite

    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

    • Ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet deadlines under pressure

    • High level of confidentiality and ethical standards
