We’re hiring a career-motivated, data-driven CPA Assistant for a key position on our team. You’ll be responsible for maintaining the monthly accounting for up to 40 small business clients, keeping their general ledger up-to-date and bank reconciliations, ensuring the accuracy of financial information, and making recommendations for optimization. Responsibilities: • Work with tax accountants to keep accurate records of payments and returns • Manage business by performing regular financial reporting and keeping accounting systems and financial documents current • Make sure accounts payable and accounts receivable are processed efficiently • Bookkeeping: Ensure the accuracy and compliance of our financial documents such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and financial transactions • Monthly Accounting for up to 40 small business clients, bank reconciliations, and general ledger Qualifications: • Must have 2 or more years of work experience in accounting services, financial services or similar • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, Master’s degree preferred but not required • Must be well-versed in general accepted accounting principles (GAAP) • Must exhibit exemplary problem-solving, communication, and time management skills • Successfully completed the uniform CPA examination by the AICPA and hold CPA certification that complies with the state board of accountancy regulations Compensation: $55,000
