    The Practice Certified Public Accountants is a full-service Palm Desert public accounting firm seeking an experienced public accounting professional to join our outstanding team.

    We are looking for a detail-oriented, analytical professional to join our growing team. This role is designed for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or an aspiring CPA candidate who is eager to take on diverse responsibilities in tax planning, financial reporting, and client advisory.

    Our tax professionals work directly with our partners, enjoy direct client contact and work with individuals and businesses at various levels of complexity.

    Education & Professional Skills

    Three plus years experience in public accounting,

    Experience with Lacerte a plus, but not required

    Detail and deadline-oriented

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    Strong communications skills with the ability to work with various clients

    Solid tax preparation and planning skills

    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field

    Licensed Certified Public Accountant or Candidate

    Technical Skills

    Ability to comprehend various clients industries and businesses

    Work paper preparation neat, accurate and understandable

    Knowledge and understanding of tax statuses and tax preparation

    Precision in estimating tax estimates and creative in exploring tax planning ideas

    Knowledge and understanding of financial statement presentation

    CPE is up to date and complies with California State Board of Accountancy

    Responsibilities

    Demonstrates a working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principals and practices (GAAP)

    Ensures the firm's system of quality control processes and procedures is in place and the firm is in compliance with accounting standards

    Assigns, monitors, coordinates and reviews projects performed by others within the firm

    Provides management and supervision of day-to-day operations

    Complies with operational policies and procedures. Identifies, communicates and implements new policies and practices to meet the needs of the firm
