Southern California Surgery Center (SCSC) is an AAAHC-accredited outpatient surgery center located in Downtown Los Angeles specializing in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and patient-focused Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our growing anesthesia team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a CRNA looking for a consistent outpatient schedule in a fast-paced, high-quality surgical environment.
Position Summary
The CRNA is responsible for providing safe, high-quality anesthesia services for elective outpatient surgical procedures while collaborating with surgeons, perioperative nursing staff, and the medical director to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Schedule
Minimum availability of three (3) days per week
Monday through Saturday scheduling
Day shifts
Additional days available based on surgical volume
No overnight call
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments
Develop and implement individualized anesthesia plans
Administer general anesthesia, monitored anesthesia care (MAC), and IV sedation as clinically appropriate
Monitor patients throughout the perioperative period
Manage airway, hemodynamics, pain control, and emergence from anesthesia
Complete post-anesthesia evaluations and documentation
Respond appropriately to perioperative emergencies
Ensure compliance with AAAHC standards, California regulations, and facility policies
Collaborate with surgeons, nursing staff, and administration to maintain efficient OR workflow
Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Qualifications
Current California RN and APRN licensure
Current Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification
NBCRNA certification in good standing
Current BLS and ACLS certification
DEA registration (if applicable)
Eligible for credentialing and privileging
Experience in ambulatory surgery or plastic surgery preferred
Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and organizational skills
Preferred Experience
Cosmetic and plastic surgery anesthesia
Total Intravenous Anesthesia (TIVA)
General anesthesia
Airway management
Healthy outpatient surgical population (ASA I–II)
