Responsible for managing and controlling the day-to-day operations of the facility assigned. Including the supervision of all residents and staff.
Must posses a current STRTP Administrator Certificate.
Provides Direction To
All Direct Care Staff are assigned to your facility.
Examples of Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Direction and evaluation of the STRTP – Licensing regulations and standards. Meet with Licensing for annual site audits and/or complaints filed. Completed Corrective Action plans.
Preparing the facility's budget and managing expenditures according to the facility's
budget limitations.
Organization of the work of the facility and delegation of responsibility.
Assessment of the facility operations and program and reporting to the licensee/making
recommendations to address identified problems.
Recruitment, appointment, evaluation of staff, and make recommendations to the Executive Director for terminating staff. Work with the Executive Director in any investigation as needed.
Development of a plan for the orientation, development, and training of staff. Complete all annual staff evaluations.
Review complaints made by children or their authorized representative(s) and decide upon the action to be taken to handle the complaint.
Oversee the Facility Coordinator – that the Facility Managers supervision of the Direct-Care Staff, delegating responsibilities that ensure twenty-four-hour CARE and SUPERVISION of the clients residing in the facility. Also, ensure that all housekeeping duties are done on a daily basis allowing for an "Inspection Ready" facility. This includes proper usage and maintenance of the company van.
Responsible for the accuracy of all stored medications as well as the logging and actual administration of the medications in accordance with Licensing Title 22 and EVC Policy. Complete all medication audits.
Required to attend training courses, clinical staffing’s, educational meetings, and all other meetings deemed necessary by the Executive Director. Attend weekly administrator meetings with ED.
Work with Quality Assurance to Maintain all charting and other records as required by EVC, County, State, CFS, and all pertinent local agencies.
Assisting in developing the written policies, procedures, and practices for continuous quality
Improvement.
Oversee Facility Manager to insure accurate house charts, MARS, audit quarterly, and report findings to the Quality Assurance Director/Executive Director.
Meet with each Direct Care Staff in supervision regularly, at least monthly, to ensure quality services, enhance effectiveness, and provide ongoing training. Also, be sure that Direct Care Staffs’ timecards are completed and reviewed for accuracy.
Responsible for providing ongoing staff training as well as tracking the training hours, employee time, vacation planning, etc., as well as effectively dealing with employee problems relative to those under the Facility Administrator’s direct supervision.
Accountability
The employee must ensure that Direct Care Staff adhere to organizational policies and procedures in the fulfillment of their employment obligations.
The Facility Supervisor/Administrator is responsible for the overall compliance and efficiency of operations at the facility assigned.
The Facility Supervisor/Administrator must maintain a valid Administrative Certification.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Ability to resolve employee conflict.
Ability to delegate and supervise Direct Care Staff.
Ability to communicate and interact with emotionally disturbed minors.
Read and Write in English.
Must possess and retain a valid California driver’s license with uninterrupted ability to be insured
by Employer’s carrier.
Must possess and retain a valid Administrator Certificate.
Maintain clean legal record and background clearance
Maintain current CPR/First Aid
Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations and supervise the maintenance of financial and other records
