We are looking for a dedicated Certified SUD Counselor to join our team and make a significant impact in the lives of our clients.

    Job Summary:
    The Certified SUD Counselor will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide counseling services to individuals dealing with substance use disorders. This role requires a compassionate, knowledgeable professional who can effectively support clients in their recovery journey. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care and resources for clients and their families.

    Key Responsibilities:
    - Conduct thorough assessments to determine the nature and extent of clients' substance use disorders.
    - Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and treatment team members.
    - Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices.
    - Assist clients in developing coping strategies and life skills to support recovery.
    - Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
    - Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and interventions in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
    - Provide education to clients and their families about substance use disorders and available resources.
    - Facilitate referrals to additional services such as medical, psychiatric, or social support as needed.
    - Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss treatment plans and client progress.
    - Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing substance use counseling.

    Qualifications:
    - Certification as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor (e.g., CADC, SUDCC LADC) from an accredited organization.
    - Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field preferred; Master’s degree a plus.
    - Minimum of 2 years of experience in addiction counseling or a related field.
    - Strong understanding of substance use disorders and recovery processes.
    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    - Proficiency in health record systems and word processing software.
    - Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in the field.

    Preferred Skills:
    - Experience working with diverse populations.
    - Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles.
    - Familiarity with community resources and support programs for individuals in recovery.
