About the Role:

Little People's Academy Daycare Center LLC in Brooklyn, NY is looking for a passionate and dedicated Certified Special Education Teacher to join our caring team! Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each child's unique needs and goals

Provide direct instruction using evidence-based special education strategies and differentiated teaching methods

Monitor, assess, and document student progress toward IEP goals and developmental milestones

Collaborate with parents, guardians, therapists, and staff to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment

Create an inclusive, safe, and nurturing classroom that accommodates diverse learning styles and abilities

Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions

Maintain accurate student records, reports, and compliance documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations

Requirements:

Valid New York State certification in Special Education (Students with Disabilities, Birth–Grade 2 or 1–6 preferred)

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field

Experience working with children with developmental, behavioral, or learning disabilities

Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance requirements

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with families and multidisciplinary teams

Patient, empathetic, and passionate about early childhood special education

Ability to pass a background check and meet all NYC/NYS childcare regulatory requirements
