    Location: 3700 Festival Park Plz, Chester VA 23831 Full-time In Office 3 Days a week 9am-5pm Reports to: Clinical Director

    $250.00-$300.00 Per Session

    As a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor in our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), you’ll be at the forefront of transforming lives through evidence-based care, trauma-informed practice, and person-centered planning. Under the guidance of a licensed clinical supervisor, you’ll support individuals battling substance use disorders on their path to stability and success.

    What You’ll Do

    Conduct initial screenings, ASAM assessments, and substance use evaluations using DSM-5

    Develop individualized service plans in partnership with clients and clinical teams

    Deliver group and individual counseling sessions using CBT, MI, and trauma-informed approaches

    Coordinate referrals for housing, employment, healthcare, and legal services

    Monitor participation and recovery progress, and document outcomes with precision and care

    Respond to crises with empathy and professionalism—ensuring safety and dignity

    Uphold the highest standards of ethical, clinical, and regulatory compliance

    What You Bring

    Credentialed as a CSAC in Virginia (required)

    Bachelor’s degree in a human services field + 3 years of direct experience in SUD treatment

    Deep understanding of substance use recovery models, risk management, and relapse prevention

    Strong knowledge of HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and trauma-informed care practices

    Proven skills in case management, documentation, and interagency collaboration

    A passion for working with diverse communities and creating inclusive spaces for healing

    Salary commensurate with experience

    Additional Requirements
