Overview

Join a high-performing Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Heart Team supporting complex cardiac surgical procedures in a technologically advanced environment. Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile field for cardiovascular surgical procedures

• Scrub and assist during cardiac surgeries in accordance with AORN and AST standards

• Anticipate surgeon needs and ensure appropriate instruments and supplies are available

• Operate sterilization equipment and ensure proper handling of surgical instruments

• Assist with case cart preparation, room turnover, and supply management

• Update surgeon preference cards and support inventory control processes

• Participate in on-call rotation as required

• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency

• Support quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

Required

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or military equivalent

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)

• Minimum 1 year of surgical technologist experience

Preferred

• Experience in cardiovascular or CVOR surgical settings

• Strong understanding of cardiac instrumentation and procedures
