Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate Certified Veterinarian Technicians to join the team at our private, independently-owned, progressive small animal clinic. We have either a part-time and a full-time opportunity for experienced CVTs to join our team! Veterinary Technician responsibilities include assisting the Veterinarian with surgeries and procedures, coordinating animal care, and monitoring animal recovery. You will work closely with the entire clinic staff to ensure the health and well-being of all of our pet patients. Responsibilities

Triage pets as they arrive at the clinic

Interview pet owners to obtain a patient history

Take vital signs and acquire blood samples

Assist with surgeries and monitor animals after surgery

Adeptly perform procedures including catheterization, ultrasound-guided cystocentesis, dental prophylaxis, and digital radiographs

Administer medications and provide at-home dosage instructions for clients

Keep accurate patient records

Qualifications

At least 1 year of previous experience as a Veterinary Technician is required

CVT licensure is required

Knowledge of animal care and handling

Team player with excellent communication skills

Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a busy environment

Patience, compassion, and a love for animals

Fear-free training and experience is desired
