Responsibilities:

CWI will be overseeing fabrication of 42 steel poles

It will include weekly reports, welding quality checks, fit-up checks etc.

Assignment will be at a fabrication shop in South Bend, Indiana

Technical & Industry Experience:

Strong knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, etc.)

MANDATORY ANST Level 3 OR at least level 2 UT and MT

Seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) with ASNT Level II UT & MT certifications for onsite inspections.

5+ years of welding inspection experience, perform visual, dimensional, and NDT inspections, and document findings per AWS, ASME, and client standards.

Independent contractor role-must provide own tools and have reliable transportation.

Must be a local with access to a computer.

Ability to work well in independent and group problem-solving situations

Ability to maintain a positive, professional disposition when adapting to occasional disruptions and unexpected events

Flexibility in scheduling.

CURRENT PROJECT: Monday–Saturday, day shift, on site.
