    We are looking to add an ACCOUNTANT to our team. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE IS A CPA WITH EXPERIENCE AT BOTH SMALL AND LARGE COMPANIES. If you are great at what you do, enjoy working in a startup environment, and are passionate about Accounting, we would like to hear from you.

    In this position, you will be responsible for all accounting functions, and will refine, research, and create policies to ensure production of accurate and timely financial statements. This role affords growth potential into a Controller position and will be a key member of the Finance team.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Maintain general ledger and sub ledgers, prepare journal entries and perform monthly close activities for revenue, cost of sales, operating expenses, fixed assets, accounts receivable, accounts payable and cash
    • Interpret contracts and drive the revenue recognition process
    • Develop policies and controls designed to ensure revenue and cost recognition is complete, accurate, and in compliance with GAAP
    • Oversee coding of AP and expense reports and perform corresponding reconciliations
    • Prepare and post journal entries with proper documentation
    • Create and manage inventory and fixed asset control procedures
    • Produce management and external financial statements
    • Support statutory and legal entity reporting requirements
    • Assist with wide array of additional functions as necessary within rapid growth startup

    SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • 5+ years of experience working in Accounting and Finance
    • Experience using and improving ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
    • Solid GAAP knowledge and research skills
    • Process-oriented mindset, with strong attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Time management skills, with ability to separate the important tasks from the noise
    • Sense of urgency, with ability to work well under pressure
    • Strong Excel skills, with the ability to present concise data to internal and external stakeholders

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:

    • DCAA knowledge and experience with government contracts
    • Big 4 Accounting and audit experience
    • CPA
    • Experience wearing multiple hats at a rapidly growing startup company
